How to Apply

Renting at Madres Unidas, Borinquen Bella, Tierra Linda, and HPR

To be considered for a rental unit at Madres Unidas, Borinquen Bella, Tierra Linda, or HPR, please complete one rental application. Check if you meet the criteria below prior to submitting your application. Se habla español.

Once you’ve completed your application, you can submit it in one of two ways:

Already applied? If it has been over 3 months and you have not heard back about your rental application, please call 773-227-7183 to check your status on the waiting list. 

Criteria for applying:

Madres Unidas, Borinquen Bella, Tierra Linda

  • Family occupancy.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
  • All households’ members 18 years of age and older will have their income verified. Income verification must meet the income requirements per unit.
  • Applicant must pass a background and credit check.
  • Tenant must be able to secure utilities (gas and electric) in their name.
  • No pets allowed.

HPR

  • Single occupancy
  • Applicants must be 18 years or older.
  • Must meet the income guidelines.
  • Applicant must pass a background and credit check.
  • Smoke-free building

No pets allowed

Renting at Encuentro Square

Encuentro Square Apartments has two different rental programs. We encourage interested parties to apply for both programs. Each program has their own waitlist and will not be interchangeable. There are maximum income limits associated with both programs.

Project Based Voucher Program, which is under the guidance of The Chicago Housing Authority. This rental program is based on 30% of monthly household income. The Chicago Housing Authority waitlist for Encuentro Square Apartments is now open.Interested applicants can visit the website to apply at www.applyonline.thecha.org. The property is listed under Project Based Voucher (PBV) properties.

Affordable Housing Program where rents are at a fixed monthly amount based on 60% of the area medium income. The rents are not subsidized. This program is now accepting applications. Visit encuentrosquare.com to see if you qualify, and apply today!
