Closing out National Fair Housing Month, LUCHA hosted partners in housing advocacy and legal services at the National Public Housing Museum. As part of the affair, Executive Director Juan Carlos Linares accepted an award presentation per the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development‘s Fair Housing Initiatives Program, through which LUCHA has been granted $125,000 to further fair housing advocacy, education and legal services. In addition, we facilitated access to the incredible Designing the WE’s “Undesign the Redline” exhibit, sponsored by Enterprise Community Partners. The interactive exhibit narrates the history of redlining and its long-lasting impact via resident stories and data maps and invites audiences to invent future equitable interventions to undesign the legacy of redlining.
Thank you to our partners who continue to invest in the cause of fair, sustainable and affordable housing for our communities!
