Madres, una inversi\u00f3n de $7,5 millones con 36 unidades, consta de diez edificios de 3 pisos y uno de 6 pisos - cada unidad moderna y espaciosa y cada propiedad con aparcamiento.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LUCHA puso la primera piedra en este lugar el 31 de octubre de 2005 con el ex gobernador Rod Blagojevich y el congresista Luis Guti\u00e9rrez, junto con concejales locales, l\u00edderes comunitarios y residentes en Simons Park.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El proyecto fue impulsado por un grupo de madres solteras que se organizaron en 1998 para llamar la atenci\u00f3n sobre el r\u00e1pido aburguesamiento del barrio de Humboldt Park y la falta de viviendas asequibles para los residentes con bajos ingresos de toda la vida.
